Are You My Friend?

Watching Easton share his sweet hugs and kisses with my goddaughter Scotlyn was easily one of my favorite moments during this fun-filled Spring-break week. Easton's favorite phrase "Are you my friend," will easily be retold over and over again to these lifelong friends in the making. Garden Mickey

This past weekend, we celebrated Emory's first birthday with a Garden Mickey brunch in my mother's beautiful garden. The theme was inspired by the location and our love for Mickey Mouse. Although this was not your typical Mickey Mouse party, the whimsical garden space created a fresh twist on a timeless classic. 

This party was all about the details from the insanely-cool, modern Mickey cake by Sugar Divas, which was especially a sweet treat, to the one-of-a-kind invitations by Minted. Other favorite details included the delicious Mickey Mouse cookies by Sugar Mamas, glass ladybugs favors, and the garden inspired Mimosa table. Upon arriving, each child received adorable Mickey ears, easily one of the cutest details.

A special thanks to my mother, who so tirelessly worked in her garden and made sure Emory's first birthday was unforgettable. Thanks to all our friends and family who traveled near and far to celebrate Emory. We love you!

Miami Seaquarium

Over this beautiful weekend I visited with my very first college friend and her beautiful family. We spent the afternoon watching our children scream and run around the Miami Seaqurium, enjoying a real old-school original Florida amusement park. Even though our friendship has evolved past days of single girl wine nights, we still manage to share love, friendship, and laughter all while cleaning messy fingers and kissing boo-boos.

Bag Essentials

Gone are the days when carrying a hand held speedy seemed effortless and chic. These days as a mommy of two boys under 3 years, I depend on crossbody bags for my daily survival. Both hands are key when carrying an 11 month old and chasing a 3 year old throughout the day. This classic satchel from Kate Spade is easily my new favorite bag. I love it's adjustable crossbody straps, double handles, and of course, the leopard calf hair adds pop to any ensemble. This satchel perfectly holds all of my everyday mommy essentials.
