I'm thrilled to share a peek of my fabulous baby sprinkle "Look Whoo Is Due Soon"! Since Emory will be here within a week, the theme seemed like the the most obvious choice. A beautiful day surrounded by dear friends celebrating the impending arrival of baby Emory. Thank you again to my amazing friends for such a special shower filled with love and support. Here's a look at some my favorite things and moments..

DIY XO Door Hanger

This weekend I decided to break from painting my collection show and try a festive Valentine's DIY. I love Valentine's Day, not the Hallmark commercialism but the simple act of showing love. This sweet and sparkly 'XO' DIY is the perfect way of adding love into any space. It's super easy to make and would be really fun to craft with your favorite girlfriends, heart-shaped desserts, and a bottle of champagne! Below are the steps for this adorable DIY.

Materials needed:
* cardboard 'X' and 'O' (check out your local craft store)
* pink and gold acrylic paint
* paintbrush
* pale pink ribbon
* hot glue gun

{Step 1.}

{Step 2.}

{Step 3.}

{Step 4.}

{Step 5.}

Instructions:

1. Prepare your workspace with newsprint or craft paper.

2. Paint your X gold and your O pink using 2-4 coats on each letter.

3. Once your painting is complete and dry, glue your X on top of the O using your hot glue gun.

4. Flip your letters over and attach a piece of ribbon measuring 22 inches to the top of each side using your glue gun.

5. You could also hang on furniture to accent your decor or you could simply hang on any doorknob.

Hope this inspires your own crafting DIY.

Ashley

Love Is In The Air

I am a big supporter of all things girlie especially any ensembles that include tulle and the color blush. Valentine's Day is the perfect holiday to wear your heart on your sleeve or anything at all related to the pink blush color family. Even though I am due in less than 3 weeks, a romantic date night is a must and so is a sweet ensemble. Since my husband and I have been together nearly 10 years, Valentine's Day represents love in its most innocent form. On that note, I tend to gravitate more to a girlie boho-chic look as opposed to something red and form fitting. Not to mention that this BCBG blush tutu dress might be the only thing that fits. Fun jewelry accents are all you need to take a girlie boho-chic inspired look to the next level.

Stay tuned for upcoming Valentine's Day inspired outfits...

P.S. This balloon photo shoot was shot in Lake Louisa State Park by the incredible Lindsay Parks. I am so happy with how the photos turned out!
